Levaquin is the medication indicated to treat severe bacterial infections. It is used to treat urinary tract, prostate, skin, sinus and lung infections, as well as other infections.
Before taking this medication you must pass lab test to know if Levaquin is going to be active to bacteria in your body. Also you must tell your doctor if you have dehydration, kidney and liver deceases, stroke, seizures, and allergic reactions, pregnant and breast-feeding.
Levaquin is produced in capsules. You must take medication 30 minutes after food with a glass of water. Do not do hard work after using this medication. Levaquin can interact with antacids, calcium salts, caffeine, cimetidine, dolasetron, levomethadyl, manganese, terfenadine and other medications. If you have any treatment course you must tell your doctor to avoid serious problems with health.
Levaquin has side effects like confusion, skin allergies, swelling, vision changes, vomiting, joint pain, irregular heartbeat, headache, stomach upset, nausea, drowsing, gas. If you have these side effects you must contact your doctor and follow his recommendations
